Does JobShack replace ComputerEase, Sage 100 Contractor, or QuickBooks?
No. JobShack is not an accounting replacement. It connects to the accounting system you already use — ComputerEase, Sage 100 Contractor, QuickBooks Desktop, or QuickBooks Online — and gives your office and field teams a shared, mobile-friendly way to work with that data.
Is setup instant?
It depends on your accounting system and company structure. QuickBooks Online has the most self-service connection path. ComputerEase, Sage 100 Contractor, and QuickBooks Desktop typically involve a short guided setup around your credentials, company structure, and field workflow.
Does every accounting system get the same timecard experience?
No, and we do not claim otherwise. ComputerEase, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online support two-way time entry and approval. Sage 100 Contractor is currently an accounting-only connection for jobs, cost codes, and employees; a Sage timecard importer is planned, and customers use another supported JobShack timecard workflow in the meantime.
Can we turn on only the modules we need?
Yes. JobShack is configured per company. You choose the modules relevant to your operation — timecards, scheduling, daily reports, receipts, fleet, safety, submittals, HR, and more — and users only see what their role and permissions allow.
Is JobShack only for small contractors?
No. JobShack is built for established specialty contractors with real field and office complexity — multiple jobs, cost codes, crews, equipment, and administrative requirements — not just single-person or very small operations.
Is JobShack a mobile app?
Yes. JobShack is available as a native app on the Apple App Store and Google Play, so crews can install it like any other app on their phone. Nobody is required to download anything, though — JobShack also runs in any phone or desktop browser at jobshack.app, which is useful for office staff and for crews on devices you do not manage.
What does the interactive demo on this site actually show?
The timecard demo on this site uses sample data, not a live account or live accounting connection. It mirrors the real allocation and approval interaction in the JobShack product so you can see how time entry actually works before requesting a workflow review.
